The Program for Arts and Humanities Development (PHD) is dedicated to the nurturing of interest in the many disciplines and specializations in the Arts and Humanities. Our mission is two-fold: we aim to provide undergraduate students with the foundational knowledge necessary for graduate study in the Arts and Humanities, as well as to aid them in navigating the graduate school application process. The PHD program seeks to prepare 21st-century scholars and teachers who are talented, engaged, and diverse and who are committed to enriching local and global communities through excellence in the Arts and Humanities.
