A New Tradition Is Born

The College hosted its first-ever Majors Meet and Greet, a picnic for returning Humanities majors and incoming Humanities students on September 29. Students gathered in a tent on South Oval to feast on free food, meet their classmates, and visit with faculty.

Although the water-balloon challenge was cancelled due to chilly weather, students warmed up with a few OH-IOs. A highlight of the picnic was the drawing for a portable television. Spanish major Chris Hayes walked away with the prize.

The new tradition will pick up steam next year as departments and alumni are expected to be involved in the festivities.
