First job out of college: reporter, Columbus Citizen-Journal
Jeff Roedel started his career after Ohio State in 1983 as a reporter for the Columbus Citizen-Journal, which at the time was the city's morning daily newspaper. A year later, he joined the staff of the Ohio State Alumni Association as associate editor of the Alumni Magazine. In 1990, he was named editor of alumni publications for the University of Colorado at Boulder. He currently is vice president of direct marketing for American Insurance Administrators, which markets insurance products to graduating students and alumni for more than 280 alumni associations nationwide. His responsibilities include planning, creative development and production for all direct marketing activities. He is active in the Professional Insurance Marketing Association.
