Julie M. Lynch was appointed to the Franklin County Municipal Bench on July 17, 2003. She has been the Whitehall City Attorney since January of 2000. She received her B.A. from The Ohio State University, Cum Laude and her J.D. from Capital University Law & Graduate Center. She is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Columbus Bar Association. She is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association Lawyers Assistance Committee and past Chairperson of the Columbus Bar Association Unauthorized Practice of Law. She is the State of Ohio Chair to the International Municipal Lawyers Association, a certified Mayor's Court Magistrate and teaches for the Ohio Municipal Lawyers Association. She speaks for the Ohio Ethics Commission, the Ohio State Bar Association, the Columbus Bar Association and private industry on Professionalism and Substance Abuse. Ms. Lynch was elected to Whitehall City Council in 1995 and served as the Chair of the Finance Committee until 1999 when she was elected City Attorney. Most recently Ms. Lynch was a speaker at the World Jurist Association meeting in Dublin, Ireland, where she spoke on funding the infrastructure of municipalities.
