Deans Student Advisory Group - Meeting Minutes

D S A G Minutes from February 13

Items of Business:

Career Night - Thursday, February 26, 2004-

• Received table tents, awaiting Conor to get approval from Residence Services
• Sarah E. is helping to get requests for door prize gifts to area businesses
• D S A G students helping with Career Night will wear their Humanities T-shirts. If you do not have one and will be helping, please see Shari or Corey
• Finalized those who can meet Shari at 4 pm for set-up:
  Brynn, Sarah E., Adam, Teresa, Laura
• Discussed grouping the panelists together or separating them, input helped to decide it was best to put legal backgrounds together and separate everyone else.
• Shari would like to go over M C comments with Conor and Mark K.
• Panelists will have 1 minute each to introduce themselves.
• Remind and encourage students they are free to roam and talk to all of the panelists, we also had volunteers to start the questions and get things warmed up.
• Finalized Volunteers to collect evaluation forms:
  Sarah, Brian, Adam, Brynn


• Please remember, our panelists should not be alone. We want them to know how much we truly appreciate their time and efforts. If you see their group empty or dwindling, please go talk to them.

Fireside Chats

• Possible dates for event: April 6, 7, 13, 14
• Crane E-Café is schedule for all of the afore mentioned dates
• Professor Gonzalez has (since the meeting) declined our invitation
• Event will begin around 7:00 pm and will need Coke donation request and Cookies/snacks

Study Abroad Panel

• Possible dates for event: April 6, 7, 13, 14 (the off week of Fireside event)
• Sarah J. contacted OIE's Grace Johnson, who has enthusiastically accepted our invitation to be part of the panel.
• Sarah E. is contacting Kirk to ask his participation.
• Event will also be in Crane E-café and require Coke donation request and cookies/snacks.
