The College of Humanities recently welcomed two individuals to its administrative office: Julia Watson has been appointed associate dean for curriculum and administration and Annie Gordon joins us a director of alumni affairs and special projects.

Julia comes to the College Office from the Department of Comparative Studies where she is an associate professor. She is a specialist in life narrative and theory of autobiography with additional research and teaching interests in feminist theory and women's writing, twentieth-century postcolonial and multicultural authobiography, and visual autobiography and film. Julia has served on the Comparative Studies department’s graduate studies committee, teaching committee, and library committee and the University Senate. In her new role, Julia will work with departments and the College Curriculum Committee on a variety of issues related to curricular innovation, revision, and change. She will also work with the Undergraduate Studies Committees on issues related to undergraduate education in the college.

Annie comes to Humanities from the Ohio State College of Social Work. She brings an extensive knowledge of Ohio State and a successful track record executing special events and developing alumni and development activities. Annie will be responsible for promoting alumni relationships in Ohio and across the nation through strategic communication and programmatic activity. She will also organize and administer various faculty and student events such as the Dean's Forum, Inaugural Lecture Series, and Baccalaureate.
