Humanities Alumni Spotlight:
African American Literary Cavalcade Announced
The African American literary tradition is a treasury of riches. This year The Ohio State University's Department of English is pleased to sponsor or co-sponsor four African American authors whose contributions to American letters have included fiction, creative non-fiction, autobiography, poetry, drama, social criticism, and literary theory.
"I'm very excited about this stellar line-up of events. The voices of these writers cover a wide range of ideas and writing styles," said Dr. Valerie Lee, professor and chair of the Department of English. "Their visions help shape the complexity of what it means to be an astute reader and an engaged citizen," she added.
The following are the dates, times, and locations of the authors' lectures. The lectures are free and open to the public.
