Visual Identity Guidelines

College of Humanities University Signature

The Ohio State University Visual Identity Guidelines call for the College of Humanities to use an official signature that follows those guidelines. The Humanities University signature combines The Ohio State University logo with the College of Humanities logotype. The signature should never be altered or changed in any way and should be reproduced exactly as indicated in these guidelines. The University signature should be used whenever a communication is addressed primarily to an audience outside the University and whenever the context of the communication does not clearly establish the association of the College with The Ohio State University. The Humanities University signature or the official University wordmark should appear in all College communications, explicitly acknowledging the College's association with the University. When used in combination with the Humanities signature, such as in the footer of a printed page or Web page, or the back of a folder, the Humanities University signature should not appear near the Humanities signature and should be given less emphasis. COH University Signature

College of Humanities University Signature Elements

To preserve the integrity of the College of Humanities University (COHU) signature, The Ohio State University Logo and the College of Humanities logotype and their relative sizes and positioning must not be altered. The Holding Rule/Outer box should never be thinner than 0.5pt and should adjust for clarity according to the signature size and the reproduction medium. A proportion of 0.5pt rule for each 1 inch of box height should be maintained. The ideal representation of the COHU signature is the PMS 200 and Black version. A black and white version is available for black and white printing and for use in media for which the color logo is not appropriate. Always use the version of the COHU signature that best suits the design and medium of your communication. Approved versions of the COHU signature are available at: http://www.osu.edu/identity
