African-American and African Studies: Professor – Chair

Comparative Studies: Assistant Professor – Science & Technology/Global Cultures

English: Assistant Professor (Mansfield) – 19th/20th Century British Literature
The English Department at the Mansfield campus of The Ohio State University seeks applications for a tenure-eligible position beginning Autumn 2008 in 19th- and/or 20th-century British literature with a specialty in poetry and/or drama. Ph.D. and teaching experience required, with strong commitment to continuing scholarly activity. History: Professor - Mason Chair in Military History

Near Eastern Languages and Cultures: Assistant Professor – Joint Appointment with Library
The Ohio State University Libraries seeks an individual with an advanced degree in Arabic, Islamic or Middle East Studies and who has an excellent knowledge of the Arabic language. Philosophy: Senior Professor (Peace Chair) – Joint Appointment with The Mershon Center
The Mershon Center and the Department of Philosophy at the Ohio State University seek to jointly appoint an associate or full professor, with tenure. The purpose of the professorship is to promote research and education on the foundations of peace and strategies for conflict resolution, to include issues of global justice, reparations and ethics. Salary and rank commensurate with level of distinction. The Mershon Center is an interdisciplinary institution promoting research on national security understood in a global context. This professorship is designed to catalyze a broader program in conflict resolution complementing other activities at the Center. Women's Studies: Associate/Full Professor – Race & Sexuality
The Ohio State University Department of Women's Studies invites applications and nominations for a full-time senior scholar (associate or full professor) specializing in feminist work on gender and race/racialization and/or sexuality/queer studies. We are looking for a candidate with demonstrated commitment to interdisciplinary research and teaching in Women’s Studies and in our graduate and undergraduate Difference and Diversity, and Sexuality programs. The Women's Studies Department offers an undergraduate major and minor, M.A., Ph.D., and a graduate minor. The successful applicant will have been tenured at another institution and will present a record of scholarship and teaching that is consistent with tenure at a research university. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience in Women's and/or Gender Studies. The appointment will begin in Autumn 2008.
